Welcome to the Shoreham.  As the Shoreham is occupied by both full-time residents and short-term renters/guests, we ask everyone to adhere to the following rules.  A complete list of all rules and regulations is in your unit.  If it is not, contact the unit owner or rental agent.  We hope you enjoy your stay. Minimum rental period is 30 days.

LAUNDRY ROOMS
Washers and dryers are available on the 2nd to 7th floors. The washers run approximately 30 minutes and the dryers one-hour. Machines take quarters or a laundry card that can be purchased in the 4th floor laundry. Rules governing use of the laundry facilities are posted in all laundry rooms.

BALCONIES
Nothing shall be attached to the balcony railings temporarily or permanently.  An exception is made for holiday decorations, which must be securely attached.   Nothing may be hung or shaken, including shoes and towels,  from windows and balconies.  Sweeping or scrubbing down onto areas below is prohibited.  No water is to be dumped over balconies for cleaning or other purposes. Nothing should be thrown from balconies at any time as this is a safety issue. No towels or rugs are to be hung over railings. Objects are not to be thrown to or from balconies/pool.

TURTLE NESTING--May1st-October 31st
Units are required to close blinds/curtains on the beach-facing window and door slider from dusk to dawn.  The turtle patrol will send citations and fines if a unit violates the lighting ordinance. 

BARBECUEING is considered a fire hazard and is therefore not permitted in the units, on the balconies or in the hallways, with the exception of an electric grill on the balcony.

TRASH DISPOSAL
There are two trash chutes on floors 2 through 7.  One is located at the South end of the hall and the other in the laundry room.  All garbage to be disposed of needs to meet the following guidelines:

• NO BOXES (pizza, Amazon, etc.) of any size can be thrown down the chute even if broken down.  This is to prevent the chute from becoming clogged.  Please dispose of all delivery boxes by breaking them down and placing the boxes directly in the green recycling bins located outside on the north side of the building, next to the dumpster.
• The following items are not allowed in the chute:  boxes, carpet, furniture, and paint, anything larger than a standard plastic grocery bag.
• Waste Management will refuse to pick up the dumpster if any item sticks out over the sides of the dumpster.  Nothing can stick out, including small items such as curtain rods

RECYCLING
Recycling bins are located on the north side of the building by the dumpster. No glass, stryofoam, plastic bags of any kind, building materials, light bulbs. Allowed are newspaper, cardboard, paper, cans.

SMOKING REGULATIONS
Under the Florida Condominium Act smoking is prohibited in all indoor common areas of the building.  This includes stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, corridors, office and garage area.

PARKING 
Parking is limited. Display your parking tag (from the unit owner if you are a renter/guest), park in the assigned spot for your unit and do not park in another unit's spot without approval.  Failure to do so may result in your vehicle being towed.

POOL RULES AND HOURS 

1. No lifeguard on duty.
2. Use of the pool is restricted to owners and their guests and renters. 
3. Pool privileges are limited to six persons per unit. 
4. Persons with skin infections, ear infections, eye inflammation, or any wound requiring a bandage are prohibited from using the pool.
5. Furniture may not be removed from the pool area. Seating may not be reserved with towels or personal property.
6. Arm floats, infant pool rings, and exercise “noodles” are acceptable in the pool.
7. Infants and toddlers in diapers are required to wear waterproof rubber pants or “swim diapers.” Please refrain from changing infants diapers directly on pool furniture.
8. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
9. Unsanitary practices of all kinds are prohibited. Rest rooms are available on the first floor of the building adjacent to the office.
10. All drinks must be in non-breakable containers. No glass! No beverages are allowed in the pool itself.
11. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe ashes must be deposited in ashtrays and not discarded on the deck or grounds.
12. Sitting, swinging or lying on the pool rope is prohibited.
13. No running or rough play around or in the pool.
14. Pool hours are dawn to dusk.
15. No diving from the side of the pool.
16. No food is allowed in the pool area. Food scraps or crumbs around the pool can attract bugs. 
17. Drinks are allowed in nonbreakable containers.
18. All persons coming from the beach must rinse the sand from their feet, and shower before entering the pool.
19. All recreational activities (e.g. Frisbee, baseball, football) are to be conducted on the beach.
20. No towels on pool railings.
21. No radios (unless used with earphones) are allowed at the pool.
22. No picnicking on pool grounds or grass. 
23. No sun umbrellas allowed or on the grass.
24. Appropriate firm foot covering (e.g., shoes, boots, sandals, flip flops) not barefeet or socks alone, are required inside the building. Feet and items used at the beach are required to be rinsed off before entering the building. Appropriate cover-ups are required in the building.
25. No indecent exposure. No cursing or obscene language.
